Mercedes is a State of Florida licensed and ASHA certified Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology with an emphasis on bilingualism and cultural diversity from Florida International University in 2012. She provides quality therapy focused on evidence based research, clinical expertise, and continued training. She specializes in providing treatment to Early Intervention and Elementary School Age Populations.
Parents are encouraged to play an active role in therapy through parent education and direct coaching. Therapy strategies can be immediately implemented and activities are relevant to the child's daily routines. She is available to provide therapy in English and Spanish in the child's home setting and other natural environments.
